Creating Content
SystemsThis workshop will teach you how to be more sustainable with your content by creating systems that stop the pattern of repetitively developing new content on the fly, from scratch, or at the last minute. You will gain a new way of thinking about your content strategy and have practical and useful templates and tools to develop lasting, sustainable content systems that reduce waste, energy, and labour. We will also explore how systems thinking can benefit your 'bottom line' and how you can implement more sustainable content systems in a siloed and complex environment.
Creating content that is aligned to strategy and that actually does the thing you want it to, frees you from the loop of request-do-request-do and instead, lets you build lasting systems for every aspect of your content development.
In this workshop, we will look at a topic model system for content planning, a few custom systems I've created that addressed large, unstructured content requests, and frameworks for enterprise-wide organization that executive leadership appreciate and that will help you, my fellow content nerd, have an easier time getting your projects and ideas approved and out into the world.
A pre-session survey and content systems workbook are included. There will be lots of opportunity for discussion.
