I would like to take this opportunity to unabashedly plug my upcoming courses at Royal Roads University. My approach to teaching social media is that a) I am not an expert, maybe only a handful of people can say that in the world–people such as Brian Solis so let’s keep it real shall we? b) I do have extensive experience in digital media, good and bad, that I’ve learned from and can share with you c) I’ve taught social media for over 5 years at the bachelor and master’s level and this will be my second year for the Division of Continuing Studies at Royal Roads. I like to say to my students at the beginning of class that we are just going to explore, and there is never any right or wrong in exploration, only curiosity and an open mind. That is all I require of you, my student. So, let’s take a walk into the wild word of social media together! I promise you it will be fun and you will definitely learn a lot.
